What does it mean to be a handheld console? The Xbox Series E is a console designed to answer that question, with a design that celebrates what gaming in your hands is truly meant to be.

IDENTIFYING THE PROBLEM
The Issue: End of an Era
Handheld consoles were an innovative form of gaming that broke the market decades ago with their unique selling point in gaming, but currently lack any potential in the gaming industry.


The Why: Smartphones
When smartphones were introduced to the market, they let users browse, play, and listen on the go, combining handheld gaming portability with far more capability.




PORTABILITY AS A PAIN POINT

What truly define a handheld console? Is it the portability or something more?
Portability has led the current market products to be all flat within the view angle and ergonomics.








THE GOAL:

CREATE A HANDHELD CONSOLE THAT OFFERS A REAL EXPERIENCE OF GAMING.






OPTIMAL VIEW ANGLE
Handhelds have a flat screen that forces the user to raise their arms to get a better view or look down.
The Series P offers a screen angle of 145 degrees for comfortable viewing that relieves tension on the neck.







COMFORT THROUGH ERGONOMICS

Current market handhelds all have flat grips to sit flush with the screen.
The Xbox Series E offers rounded grips for comfort with an optimal distance of 5.25 inches.
